The following outlines how this change in advice affects VIVA Travel Insurance policies.

While cover is unaffected if you’re in Israel, please be aware that should you refuse to take a return flight which is offered by the UK government your insurance cover will cease. To register your presence and to receive important updates, including information on support to leave the country, please visit the gov.uk website.

If you arrange your own return travel your cover will be unaffected, but it will not be possible to claim for any associated costs that you may incur.

As per the terms and conditions of the VIVA travel policy no cover is provided in the event the FCDO advises against all but essential travel. As a result, VIVA Travel Insurance will no longer cover any planned trips to Israel.

If your travel plans are affected, we recommend that you speak with your airline, travel provider or tour operator, in the first instance, to discuss alternative options.

If you have a Single Trip policy please contact us on 0330 041 8266, or email travel.sales@vivatravelinsurance.com. Our team is available Monday to Friday, 9am to 5.30pm.

If you have an Annual Multi Trip policy your cover continues to protect trips taken to other countries included within the area you chose at the time of purchase.

You can also amend your Single Trip or Annual policy to change the destination or area of travel, but an additional premium may apply.
